Really now, nothing nice to say do you?
Eithe way Ispano we will just need to agree to disagree, we both prefer the controls we prefer and there isn't anything wrong with that. Hopefully the developers allow both to co-exist in some way, I understand your issues with the implications of PVP-PVE content but I guess the concern just isn't as strong for me I much prefer being able to "Flip around" I just can't wrap my head around how it bothers you though hell we had better animation for turning in 1.0 than wow even tried to make turning look.
Now it is howver a shame that those fluid animations no longer exist and character will just litterally flip around now...shame really.
Not trying to continue any argument, but it never had anything to do with PvP.
I believe this belongs in this thread...

It wasn't a huge deal for me personally, but I got to say I'm glad we can set the controls to the old movement. I can play either way, but as a long time xi player I'm just used to being able to do 180s.
SOLVED..Q17: What is a "Legacy Config" option you selected?
A17: It refers to a configuration wherein players will be able to set their controls and movement method similar to how they were in 1.0. For example, turning and running instead of backpedaling.![]()
Real Life > FFXIV
You will be able to change the setting to back peddle or turn and run.
