For as bad as the gameplay was XIII had some of the best newer music. I really enjoyed the comps in this game.

I'm happy with the direction they're going towards. The music in ARR definitely has a different feel.

I think Soken, with the exception of Broken Wings, is the most boring composer to ever touch the franchise. I look forward to changing all of the music as soon as possible.

Well, Shposhae's battle theme and Rise of the White Raven were pretty good, too. But the music for 2.0 so far... yeah, I agree it is pretty dull and "common" so to speak. To me, it doesn't feel like it has that unique feel to it that most JRPG (especially FF) have.
