NA / EU / JP server=No transfer

So pretty much if my world become JP i'm stuck in a JP world? then 6-12month later we can switch? By then no one not even my linkshell would be willing to switch over to NA without losing loads of players.

Would it not be better to make a few NA,EU,JP worlds that old 1.0 can switch to any of them? which then only level 1 char can log in to the other NA,EU,JP worlds?

Some of us want to join a NA world from day 1 and not wait months.

Maybe having that time before being able to transfer to another server could help people see how meaningless this "terrible latency" will be with a new and decent server structure, which would hopefully reduce the chances of a massive exodus happening as soon as transfers are available.

here something i read on the french forum.It's not a question about lag but economy. Your server turn EU and your NA, then so sorry your stuck with it.

"Our goal with the implementation of dedicated servers for new players is to create a world where the economy has no history. Therefore, players "Legacy" will not receive an option to transfer their characters "v1" to these servers from the release of FINAL FANTASY XIV: A Realm Reborn.

New players will be able to create new characters on the servers of players "Legacy" to join them. This option will be available as long as the maximum server population will not be reached. Similarly, players "Legacy" will create a new character on dedicated servers to new players.

We are not yet able to confirm what stage during beta your characters will be permanently associated with the servers on which you are. We will share information once the schedule is finalized."

It goes on to say that new players will be able to join existing/established worlds as long as there is room on the world, but that old, returning players cannot move to the brand-new "new player" worlds.

Yes, you can make a new character on the fresh start worlds, just not move your existing character to them.

I have spent way too much time on my Altera, and do not want to make a brand new character.
