I know the developers are on a very tight schedule with looming deadlines to get this game released.

But my suggestion is, to release a monthly Developer Behind the Scenes video, that spotlights a specific team or aspect of the game's development (sound, music, cinematics, programming, world creation).

To allow the community to gain a deeper understanding of how much work is involved to get a game of this caliber up and running in such a short period of time.

I know we already have the Letter from the Producer, which in its own right is very informative and insightful. And we also have the Live Letters as well. But what I am suggesting is to have more of a developer's point-of-view of development. Getting to speak with the Team Leads, and allowing us to meet the people behind the scenes, who we don't otherwise get to see. See what their design process and philosophies are for their respective discipline. And to get a general feel for the development culture at Square Enix.

I, for one, am keenly interested in how the "A Realm Reborn" opening cinematic was created and would like to meet the people who created it. I think it would be beneficial, not just to other aspiring game developers, but also the community, to gain more of an understanding and appreciation of what it takes to make these amazing games.

As I said, I'm sure it is crunch time for the team as they prepare for Beta and the eventual launch. But I am hoping that at some stage (perhaps after release), we will get to see more of the inner workings of Square Enix and the Final Fantasy team.

Let me know what you think.
