    Idea for companies, or something else.

    If companies arn't well player made buisnesses.

    But how about doing away with wards, but allowing players to create buisnesses. You can setup what you can/will make, people drop off orders, and then pick them up when done. The buisnesses can buy from players specific supplies giving them money for it, hunters and such can check and see what buisnesses need what supplies. Then members of the buisnesses with the right skills can them make the crafts, sort of turning everything into a actual buisness. Just a weird thought. Make crafting into a almost side game itself, it would definetly create comunity and what they were hoping with the wards a way for players to work together and such.

    I assume companies will be a calibration of many elements such as business, guild related, end game related, and possibly PVP/PVE content. Maybe even the ability to have multiple Linkshells work together. It's really an unknown, I think your idea on removing the wards however would not be beneficial for players wanting to buy an item immediately, since that was the initial problem with the wards in the first place. I do agree however that this would be neat, and would help the community.

    Well I was thinking of them having like a store. So if you want a certain armor you look up companies and see if any have them for sale, if not find one that will take comissions to make one and ask it to be made. So you can both make them, or create on demand.

    I like this idea, it would help stimulate the players without the need for NPC quests. It would be an active economy based on demand rather than a passive one based on what's already available.

    But if it's not already in WoW/FFXI, don't count on it being in FFXIV in the future. Not with Yoshi in charge.

    I figured there would be these features.

    Store:

    where you can buy premade items, and sell items that they are offering to buy, most likly parts and stuff to make for things they create.

    Then there would be a list of items that they are willing to make most likly ones chosen by those in the company, and only listing ones they are willing to, or would be able to make.

    Then add in maybe ways to work together, like team crafting, where crafts eitehr require a group, or better chances of HQ when working as a group. Maybe have people in the company that are gophers their job is to either buy or collect in the field items needed from a list, maybe able to create requests simular to a quest with rewards for completion.

    storage obviously for making and creating the stuff that is on consignment and such.

    Maybe allow for fishing boats, mining expeditions and such, ways to make gathering a bit more fun, like a boat that would let you go to rarer spots to fish or such.

    Wouldn't this thread be better served in the "Companies" section? Just saying...

    All I want is it to be something more than fetch quests or another leve counter. I have big hopes that this will satisfy that itch for content... and maybe give my Culinarian class something to do :P

    Perhaps the Company could distribute points: for every x number of tasks you do for the company, you receive so many Company Credits. This way companies could organise their efforts and pay respect to their biggest earner/most active contributors.

    So far, the Grand Companies of Eorzea mentioned by Yoshi are more NPC-oriented. The OP is suggesting something more player-driven.

    Nah, I prefer to open menu and click on buy then it brings a window menu, items, weapons, armor, crystals, and so on. Make is visual, smooth and easy to read also add a command /buy duh god SE can be very stuupid when it comes to putting out ideas.

    Well this is what I thought companies would be, but the devloper section talks about NPC's and sounds more like another quest giver or such so probably not related to what I had hoped companies would be. Why I said in the title, companies or something else, depending on what companies end up being.
