    I'm more in favor of "general gaming" myself. I still remember the fun we had with the old "redesign bosses from RPGs into raid bosses" thread. People asking for PC advice and commenting on other games, too. That sort of thing.

    * The sad thing is that FFXIV turned RDM into a turret, and people think that's what it's supposed to be. It's supposed to combine sword and magic into something more, not spend the bulk of gameplay spamming spells and jump into melee for only 3 GCDs before scurrying back to the back line like good little casters.

    Well the mod did say in comparison to other games and to keep it FFXIV related. Which it wasn't along the end there. >..>

    I think the mods do a good job, even though it's difficult. The Meme Thread could have been locked already but it's beloved so they're kinda giving it more leeway then they would with some other threads.

    But if it continues to cross the line they will lock it.

    More likely, they remove some posts instead of lock that thread.

    You know it took quite a while to close down that thread and this is not to start poop or nothing but I was wondering if that rep happended to stumble across it late or no one was paying attention. There have been many threads that discuss other games and use the comparisons and where never shut down. I myself am curious what prompted the closing of the thread after 290 posts and 12,954 hits and yes i read the rep response and the disclosure.

    I myself also do not like the discussion of other games here either this is a FF forum/FFXIV
