Blizzard put in official voice chat for WoW and guess what nobody uses it because Vent/Mumble/TS/Skype offer better quality, and people prefer their 3rd party VoIP programs to one that's provided in game. People in a guild rather pay for their own vent or mumble server then use the in game voice chat.

Sorry but everyone who have a smart phone they don't leave it laying around the house and forget about it so having the smart phone next to use while listing into mumble,vent or ts is not that bad and you can even talk and it sound great i try it. I'm sorry, but unless there's very special circumstances, this is not a problem. If you're asked to or required to use VoIP by your shell, the point is:

There's numerous options available to the common consumer of 2013 that there's no excuse to not use it. The main reason people hate PC gamers is because they lord over console gamers for having the "better games" and constantly mocking them for wanting to play PC games the way they'll be comfortable with (a controller.) So I suggest you leave your passive aggressive attitude elsewhere.

There is plenty of ways to gain access to VoIP, if they do not want it, then don't pressure them. Slowly ask them nicely and keep ask them nicely. Im sure they will warm up to it.

I don't see a issue like i said before FFXI people on PS2 play with other endgame ls without issue every endgame ls i was in the early days did not use vent,ts and such and they was no phone that even allow to use it so people just keep on playing and working together.

If it a matter of people being lazy and don't want to explain things then there always one person in the LS would be happy to explain things in /ls to everyone who can't listen in. I know many ls who have ts,mumble,vent and they don't even talk much they still type and do get things done without issue.
