I actually quite like this take on Shiva. It also begs the question whether or not she will fulfill the same role as the primals we have seen so far. From a design perspective, she is a more visually sympathetic character; being more humanoid and less bestial or, dare I say, primal.

Logically, it would make sense that she is an enemy that we fight, like the other primals. But given her more human appearance, I would not be surprised if she turned out to be a sympathetic Primal (Not just because I think she looks "nicer", but standard video game doctrine is to make characters you are supposed to see in a positive light look more humanoid, while characters you are supposed to see in a negative light more beastial).

I'm inclined to agree. She's creepily lifelike. Shiva has almost always been blue-skinned. Overall she looks too warm - nearly all iterations (excluding Type-0) depict her in cool colors, and any warm colored accents are kept to a minimum. In FFX there is some orange mixed in, which is mostly there to complement the blue.

I do sort of like that she isn't a thin and dainty little princess this time. She has the figure and presentation befitting a queen of ice, reminiscent of Queen Jadis of Narnia.

Looks interesting but I think her skin should still be blue and I'm guessing in the end it probably will be. I will say this though, even the best hookers have nothing on her heels.

But i hope, that her skin and the colors itself turn more into the color of the concept art.

Human FFXIV Shiva = human skin colour, is what I think people are beefing about. I'm quite sure everyone here, and their grandmother, know she always looked human in general.

I think they re-used Fangs character model from FFXIII (and then tweaked it, eyebrows, eyes, ears, etc...)

you are definatley imagining ;XD

for me they dont have any in common.. bigger eyes, shorter face.. stronger jaws, different eyebrows and ears. no... no..

Nah, Fang has a longer, softer face while Shiva has a shorter one with "sharper" features, from what I can tell on these images. Besides, so many anime & manga babes look like one another stripped down. No pun!
