I skimmed through that article and it doesn't say that "it" (3D model, or in this case Shiva) will not look like that (before/after). Key word skimmed.

Do not expect the majority of internet users to have a big attention span. Some of the people who posted here were able to describe it in much less words and aim specifically at what was troubling us, or Ferne could have just mentioned it was a WIP.

Well they released the Behemoth armor for the chocobo this way (all gray) - and no one complained

It would have helped if Fern told us about the color (no bad feelings though, we love batty), I had no idea what FZbrush was / could do lol.

I dont think the Behemoth armored chocobo was a zbrush model, i think it was post zbrush model(disclaimer: no knowledge to back this up, just an educated guess)

Actually I kind of like that she looks more human... she looks more attractive that way... It would get more summoners appear...

The behemoth chocobo pictures were shown on the in-game engine, inside of a testing environment.



They just use ZBrush to produce a super high-polygon count model, which they then convert into a game model, then texture. The stuff they've shown us today, as stated multiple times in this thread, is not the final version.

Largely. Also, she's supposed to be some kind of ice goddess so her coloring probably ought to use cool tones to reflect that. Blue is one of the most obvious choices.

If they made Ifrit purple, he wouldn't seem so firey. Recall that the primals represent elements and each element has an associated color.

Not blue, but pale. She would look tanned anyway.

Ifrit didnt have much to speak of but I loved how they made Garuda bat-sh** crazy. I hope they give Shiva a memorable personality too.

On that note, its gonna be hard to top that opening cs to the Garuda battle. That was stunning

I can imagine Shiva riding in Iceman style on a giant wave of ice as an intro. That'd be cool.
