The way i understood the road map is that is only the "Character" that we "created" will be save and brought over, not "data progression" Many OBT is like this also. Need an Official Dev Answer on this please.

I do not see any official statement saying that "Data Progression" will be brought over to Release. The only "Data Progression" that will be brought over to release is our 1.0 Data Progression's that was last save on 11th November 2012.

Key point being Characters created. So a clarification is needed. Thank you.

Should also add that you will only be able to level up to 35. Characters imported above that mark will maintain that level.

To lazy to dig and find the rep posts/Yoshi's posts, but I'm almost certain he said neither keep, nor wipe. Probably still figuring out how & if we can keep the "up to lv35" progress in OB.

I honestly don't care as much, especially while at work, but if you do. . . . dig away! No difference to me whether he says wipe or not. We'll know in time, and I'm quite happy going on the presumption based on a silent confirmation, for now.
