    Arcanist will be available at release, Summoner could make it too, but there seem to be delays on the battle side of things, so it might not make it.

    Well they will at least make release Arcanist with a guild and a full set of job quests. My only question is what is the weapon of choice for Arcanist?

    For Arcanist I expected *something* other just being able to use it right away willy nilly. Like a short quest explaining the origins of the role or anything kind of along those lines. I suppose all the other classes are available from the start and new players would maybe wonder why they need to do something to unlock one and not the others but still.....

    That what you looking for is the class quests. Remember those that were avaiable every five levels or something in 1.0?
    I hear they're expanding on those, ought to be amazing. There's no need to require an unlock on a base class to learn about it's story.

    Classes like musketeer are already in place at cities, but if they do this to the katana wielding class I'm going to call a huge BS retcon flag.

    Nah, that's called coherency. None of the base classes needed unlocks, why would a new base class need an unlock?
    There are many things that could be done, the guild staff could move into one of the cities, the guild could be set in a completely new city too, but the seventy-seven caravans would see that the weapons are sold wherever it's needed.

    There are ways of gracefully handling adding a new class, putting it behind some bs quest is not one of them given how no other class was hidden behind a quest.

    It doesnt have to be a quest - but it has to be shown / done. Your caravan samurais are coming in idea would be cool. But if I just installed the expansion and boom all the cities are stocked with Samurai weapons I will call bs lol

    +1 for using caravans I feel SE should make a trade network.. moar caravan usage!
