    Music for FFXIV:ARR

I know this most likely should be a thread in the FFXIV:ARR Beta forums, but being there is none as of yet, and I am, as I'm willing to bet you are as well, bored waiting for FFXIV:ARR to release, :P are willing to discuss this.

I have been missing FFXIV probably more than I should. It was really my first MMO. I played FFXI for only 2 months before I started FFXIV. I enjoyed my experience.

I met many people, some people I didnt keep partying with, who ended up quitting, some people who I just received a quick heal from, and some I healed, while on the way to a quest. I made good friends and I even made an enemy (if you'd call it that) who we later patched our rivalry and almost became friends lol.

Ok enough of the back story on with the topic:

So basically I see that Gridania is going to have different battle music, and different town music. The thing with this though, is I have grown so accustomed to my own home, Limsa Lominsa, and its music. I'm not sure if I'll feel as at home as I did while there. Sure over time I probably will create a new journey and develop a new love for the new Limsa Lominsa, but I just wanted to share my thoughts that I'm anxious to hear the new music if there will be any for LL at all.

(These are just my thoughts, I have no developed opinion as to if they should or shouldnt change the music.)

I just am curious as to what it will sound like since i've developed a "sense" of what LL feels like while I am there and a change of music will constitute a change of "sense."

Share your thoughts about your "sense" and "feelings" for your home city, or any music in general that we know that is changing, (Such as the leve music, battle music for Gridania) Also please share some of your memorable times in the Seventh Astral Era.

To correct, we were actually in the Seventh Astral Era - if we are to see Bahamut's appearance as the calling in of the era change, then ARR will be taking place in the Seventh Umbral Era. If I am incorrect, feel free to slap me around.

    Back on topic though:

Music is forever a major factor in my experience with a game. One of the core reasons for why I chose FFXIV as my first MMO was in fact, the music - Limsa Lominsa's theme was the sole reason why I decided to finally play a FF MMO. Even now, it remains a highly played piece on my music player.

In fact, I pretty much loved all the music involved with Vylbrand. La Noscea's two themes, Limsa Lominsa's theme, the battle theme, U'Ghamaro Mines' theme...It was a part of my adventure, to have the music playing, and I really hope ARR carries that feeling onwards. La Noscea is where I left my characters whenever I had to take a break from the game, and even where I left my main after the events on the last days, after the servers reopened. The music lent that feeling of home to me - it was where my character belonged.

Ah youre correct. My confusion lies within me knowing that the Umbral era is the era in which chaos is rampant, and the Astral era being the more prosperous era. I figured the Garlean empire in constant strife with the Eorzean Alliance, and then the release of Bahamut surely would constitute an Umbral era. So if that area was considered the "prosperous" one, I'm uneasy to step into FFXIV:ARR lol j/k

    It shall be fun.
