FFXIV 1.0 is a complex game and the lack of tutorials caused some problems for my RL friends. Ya in 1.0 beta i was quite frustrated, cause everything was so confusing.
i heard some guy say his GF tried ARR alpha, and she found it easy to play; and she's not a gamer. Seems easy enough to get into if you ask me
