This would also eliminate confusion between the two time systems e.g. "Is that over the next real life day / jp midnight? or is it just one game day?" and prevent the ingame date from going drastically out of line with the time the game as originally set in as the years go by (in FFXI, the game started in the 900s C.E. and the current date in game is 1166 C.E.).

I'm not really sure whether most people like this or not. What do you think?
Let's go back to your OP. This is not reason enough to sync the time of day with the server's region. We already have a real life day cycle outside of the game. Also, your last question was answered by a good amount of people on this forum with a hard, "No."

Furthermore, I've read a few posts already by people stating they have played games with this implemented and highly disliked it. I just can't think why you'd want this. If you are super OCD about the years growing faster than you'd like maybe you should map out a calender to give to the developers and tell them what makes more sense. Maybe their world is smaller and rotates more quickly. Maybe they have 1,095 days in their year.

It started off that you were concerned about one thing, but ignoring the other fact that players want to be immersed in the scenery and get the chance to experience all the aspects of it. You don't get that with a sync. I'm not going to assume you have or don't have things to fill your days with, but not all of us can sign in during the day as much as others. We have households to support and take care of, children, jobs, and most importantly... brunches!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
