It is not impossible for to do it. If they have a time schedule then having a day schedule wouldn't be hard to make... And if I recall from the blog post they said a time they didn't say a date... So they can make it with respect to RL or in game time (they would have make it first) it would certainly be possible... I just hope they don't do it since it makes no sense why it works and makes it unneedly complicated...

Oh, you're right. All those skills they worked on to improve crafting were just a cover for the RANDOM CHANCE of moon-phase crafting! That makes perfect sense!

The chance could be as low as 0,1~1% and you wouldn't notice. You can't say it's not in the game for sure.
With that blog post he brought it up again and there will be people who'll be facing directions unless it is completely denied by SE

Shame that you never played FFXIV, a game with a more severe RNG than XI.

Anyone who has spent a decent amount of time farming HQ darksteel and gold ore in FFXIV has noticed by now a difference in drop rate on new moon and full moon phases.

The only question is to what degree these things affect crafting and gathering. As you can see by my signature, I was an avid FFXI crafter and devoted all of my time to it. HQ theory crafting went to an extreme of testing whether equipping an elemental staff had an effect on the HQ rate but I can assure you that direction and time frames were the norm.

I noticed this as well. This is why SE will never confirm or deny it in regards to XIV since we do have phases as well as deities regarding this stuff in terms of lore alone.
