Will ARR have a strategy guide planned?

I've seen at my local Gamestop that Guild Wars 2 has a strategy guide/walkthrough out currently and so does Mists of Pandara. With all the content being released for 2.0 I am wondering how we are going to keep track of it all? Does anyone know if there will be a strategy guide coming out with walkthroughs, recipes, quests, a bestiary, and maps?

I had a feeling today that there will be a lot of awesome features and things implemented in 2.0 that will be too much for someone to get their heads around, and might need some assistance to figure thing out and some tips along the way. Hopefully content won't keep changing for 2.0 like 1.0 did and they can say with some certainty that features that we see at the beginning will be consistent throughout the life of the game.

I have one from Brady Games for FFXI published in 2003. I sure hope A Realm Reborn eventually comes out with one - they really are a big help and offer a nice reference tool.

If an MMO is alive and vibrant then a hard copy guide is impracticable. Brady stopped printing theirs because it was cost prohibitive to try and keep up with all the changes and content additions associated with FFXI. Hopefully FFXIV will have the same problem.

Among a plethora of other websites. Far simpler than digging through a book.

And while people get content done using their trusty SE-sanctioned guide, you'll be waiting for weeks or months as people slowly enter in anecdotal data in poorly formatted Wiki articles. Yeah!

Or people will get it done without the guide just fine. Or anything from the web for that matter. My opinion is that if you NEED the guide to get around and do things, then you're likely not playing the right game

Yep. For example me and my group did CoP without any guides since non existed at the time. All info has to come from somewhere and that's usually people that figure out stuff for themselves and decide to pass along the info.

Honestly though, the idea of having a physical reference book is novel to me (tee hee), but it just doesn't really work for MMOs or games that self-update often. It'd be neat having a sort of PDF-based guide for smartphones though. That'd be handy.
