Beta & Arcanist

They said they are stress testing housing in beta 4, so I assume they will be there to some extent.

For a new job I do not expect it until launch. It would be a good way to get people leveling new classes at the start which will help out some new ppl to the game as well. There will be alot of new players NOT choosing a new player server, just like at PS3 and Xbox launch in NA for XI this is one way of SE getting old to play with new.

If everyone levels the new job in Beta, there will be nothing for launch left >.>

Arcanist will not be in beta but only at launch.

Didn't read all of the posts, just the first few. But anyways, if they plan to have it release @ game launch, it would be an extremely good idea for it to be in beta. In fact, it would be all the more reason for it to be in beta so they can iron out any bugs with the class before release.

Now whether we'll get to play as Arcanist/Summoner, that's a different story. They may do internal testing for the class on private servers using the GMs and Staff that have been hired for launch.

i think it wouldn't be a bad idea to have them in the closed beta to get them tested by the community.
the feedback might be useful towards having all the old and new classes properly balanced at launch.

of course they will do internal testing anyways, but why limit it to a few employees, when they can have feedback on a large scale?
imo a test of the new classes in the closed beta can only contribute to a successful launch of the game.
