One of my friends who has mainly only played WoW, Eve, LoL is thinking about playing ffxiv. I guess I should tell him to forget about it :/
I think one of the key distinctions of 2.0 vs 1.0 is going to be if we feel excited about telling our friends to come play. With 1.0, I was almost embarrassed. My friends would have played for 2 days and told me I was crazy. With 2.0 I'm actually a bit optimistic. I think if my friends play, they might actually like it - WoW friends included :P

I agree - they wouldn't know how to act playing a real live character instead of a 'toon'. LOL. But those in WoW that want to immerse themselves into a living, breathing world such as we will have...welcome! ( I am very optimistic) : )

+1 for OP for sure. I've enjoyed this thread so far. Its relieving to see people with optimistic points of view. We all have our worries but complaining and worrying wont do anyone any good while we are in between testing phases. I, and I imagine everyone in this thread thus far, has seen the capabilities of Yoshida, and trust him. If indeed something is implemented that is not of enjoyable standards to the general public then it will be adjusted respectively, we've seen it happen before I doubt that trend will stop now.
