How much do you think server transfers should cost?

only if the AH is link to all worlds if not then you going to have issue with RMT jumping to world to world to make the most money they would pay if it mean they get such a big income that they pay for itself and make more money they need. or even other players would do it i say make it free only if all AH is link and you have to wait 6month or 25$ if you want to switch in 90days.

except a week is not enough to be accepted by a LS that gets shit done and then get stuff ... even tho FFXIV's way of loot will make point hoarding system moot ...i figure you still need more than a week ..a lot more

Some people will want to move around once server transfers become avaiable maybe they want to move to their own regions server, but how much will they cost?

In FFXI they cost $25, which if you asked me is a bit expensive these days. However in Rift they are free and you can server transfer every 7 days.

How much do you think server transfers should cost in FFXIV?

I'd tentatively... (tentatively)... say it should be free for the first transfer (offered only at the beginning of 2.0, just like how we get a one time character change)... and then approximately half the cost of a month's subscription for the second transfer; and then a full month's worth for every subsequent transfer.

yoshi-p said he wont add it too 1year+ from release or when there very high demand so there no issue there. Yoshi-p know the issue you talking about they would only be one world switch and that the day 1 of FFXIV when we remake our account and pick if we like to go to a NA,EU,JP world. But like you said once people get settled that when yoshi-p would release a way to switch world he believe there no point of it from day one so pick your world you really want to be in because you wont have other chance for a while.

There will be server transfers to existing servers. 1.0 Excalibur becomes 2.0 Excalibur, 1.0 Ridill becomes 2.0 Rydill, New 2.0 Server named Kefka is created. Players can transfer from Excalibur to Ridill and Ridill to Excalibur, but not from Either to Kefka. He said we would have to wait a long time to transfer exsiting characters to any of the new-name servers.

I dont think server transfers should cost any money either.

I believe the most important factor is the time between the transfer and before you can do it again. If it's too low people will just steal/manipulate the market and hop servers. $25 every 3-6 months is satisfactory.
