sorry just list me some pro's for getting back animation lock (since that was one of THE main reasons why the whole crowd left the game very quickly)

    my contra's for animation lock:

    - less control over your character
    - unable to move or react while abillity animation
    - choppy control over your character
    - slow reaction concerning what is happening around you
    - feels slow and lazy (longer than a GCD)

my pro for no animation lock:
    - fluent gameplay
    - more active control over your character
you can cancel your abillities whenever you want to, like in real life. (not like "oh i am swinging my lance for 5 seconds i cant hold on now)
    - faster speed
    - pvp ..imagine running after a player and stop for 3-5s everytime when you attack an other player.. and these procedures over and over again..
    - a much better reacting time
    - you dont have to fight animation lock as a game mechanic, you can concentrate on fighting the monster itself

and in the end compare yourself..

lazy ifrit boss combat 1.0. (stand still, get rooted by animation lock every time):
    Ifrit 1.0.

or that in 2.0.? more action paced, more fun, more fluent, more control... running towards an enemy and performing a ranged attack.. and not getting rooted? woo* i feel free...
    FFXIV 2.0. instance

and i wouldnt say that 2.0. animations are less good? i mean.. watch the Paladin 2.0. WS, Monk 2.0. WS...

not much has changed concerning the animations (when it comes to quality).. (which has been a big "pro argument" for animation lock in this forum here).. but as we see it isnt.. >Animation lock< let it burn in fire.
