Even if everything looks legit it doesn't mean that it is. Spammers can modify the emails they generate to mask the sender to whatever email they want.

i.e. it says it's being sent from noreply@us.playonline.com but it's not.

Game companies have your information on database it doesn't make sense that they would ever ask you for your username and password.

It's a phishing scam. They are pretty common.

A perfectly valid/safe option, is do nothing. Don't click any links in the email, and don't reply to it, just delete it.

I use 3 email addresses.

One for FFXI/XIV
One for WoW/D3/SC2
One for Facebook

Only the FB email gets the XI/WoW/D3 spam.

Keeping on topic, I generally contact the company or check the official site for any info based on whatever the phishing email is. I never click on links in an email anyway, regardless if it's from my family/friends, or a company. Call me paranoid I guess...
