Massive influx of spam post beta application

I remember getting one of these last year. They've changed it a bit. The one I got mentioned what sections of the EULA I supposedly broke. Problem was it said I broke the Blizzard EULA. Wonder how many people actually think Blizzard makes FFXI lol.

Yeah I've seen these before myself and most are laughable. The thing that caught my eye was the sheer number of people who had gotten them. Getting spam is nothing new - but stumbling upon this many valid E-Mail addresses attached to SE accounts can be a slight cause for concern I'd imagine.

If I read this, I would say "WTF are you thinking SE!?" Sorry but this happened to me several times even on Facebook like they tried to deaf people like me.

Glad, my gmail is all good. Google has a good feature that can block spams, you just report it to Google and if they confirm that you are not alone will block spams to all gmail users.

Square Enix Account Management System Login Changes
In order to improve the usability of the Square Enix Account Management System, customers will be able to login to the Square Enix Account Management System using their registered email address starting on Jan. 9, 2013 at 8:00 p.m. (PST).

Customers will be able to login using their Square Enix ID / password or registered email address / password once the changes are in effect.

Please note that these login changes will only apply to customers that are logging into the Square Enix Account Management System. Customers attempting to login to games and official websites using their Square Enix account will be required to login using their Square Enix ID / password as usual.

I applied for beta and did not receive any of this spam, and am a former XI player myself.

I check my gmail spam box, which I used to apply for PS3 beta. I didn't get these emails.

I got the same flood of emails as well. Just seems to coincidental to me. Out of the 10+ years of having a FFXI and FFXIV account I have never got a spam email like that. I get a Blizzard one once a week lol

Blizzard scam emails are worded the same so it may be the same scammers spraying hoping to get FFXI accounts.

I didn't not apply for beta as I am Legacy and I've received 24 of these emails today and when I reported them to support they said sorry we can't help you with this please call us some other time..
