You are going to judge a game based on the first 20 levels of gameplay with only 3 classes unlocked, with only a handful of zones around gridania?if the game stay how it was in the alpha is game over for SE, is boring nothing fun and IKNOW!!! is alpha test dont need to tell me thats why im waiting for beta to see what have change but the game so far is boring as hell the battle system sux, it didnt improve from 1.0 i think i had more fun in the battle system in 1.0 then in the alpha test so hope SE dont fuck this one up or many gonna be disappointed and the game is gonna be over
im not really judging i know is just alpha and alot of people will agree with me is boring, but i know it just alpha thats why!!! i say im waiting for the beta! test!!!!!

the 3 things im scared about in ARR
1) The quest leveling is super boring
2) The new TP system (i dont support the change the was no reason to touch it dont fix what ain't broken sorry SE)
3) that XIV is just and exact wow clone i hate wow.
BETA is free to try, why should you be scared? lol :P
You shouldn't think it as a Wow Clone, buddy.
1. Can't be any more boring then grinding the same mobs over and over again to level, at least with quest leveling you get to do different things go to different zones.
2. The old TP system was very slow paced not up to the standards of today's action packed mmo
3. Have you even played WoW? If you did you would know its pretty much nothing like ARR. The races alone are totally different way different storylines too.
You could make a char for each state. do different storylines. You do know other MMOs give players plenty of alts right? Multiple jobs is still possible, not on the same character obviously as this is basically a FF MMO exclusive still, so you can still stretch out the longevity of content the same way. And to add to that, there is quite a lot of gear that gets bound to your account so you can still swap it between alts.
That makes me curious. I wonder how many people will actually use all their extra alt space in ARR considering there is no real need to make an alt. There is no big stat disparity between the races like in FFXI so the only 3 reasons would just be aesthetics, inventory space, and RP purposes. I personally have 3 accounts and I use 2 of them as alts since they are walking storage bins for me (and extra nuking/healing power for random "solo" things).
Well a good party makes grinding alot more fun. And running back and forth for quest is not that exciting unless the quest is fun, but i forsee escorts, kill certain mobs in random zones far away, or just running back and forth which is not fun to me at all. Yes i played wow to a 52 ranger i couldnt stand being ganked every 10 seconds by some ass clown of a rogue. getting spammed challenges every time i needed to run in town. The quests were god damn boring. And all i keep hearing from ppl is that the few differences from wow is no open pvp. The hand holding for quests is the same to an arrow point your along the whole way. granted its better than 11s quests that dont tell you to talk to ppl before running through getting all the way to a location and not getting the cs then having to go all the way back.1. and i really wouldnt say it a slow system you have to zerg Miser if you want relic.
and to Zehira im gonna try the beta, but its the beta the fear of a repeat of 1.0 looms still im gonna be honest. I mean i love the way 1.0 ended it definitely had a FF feel to it.
I have no fear over 2.0, things that Yoshi P done with FFXIV from the moment he showed up can't be described in just few words. A little faith
Just think about it, many other titles go F2P becose they can't survive in any other way the way they are in that moment. But SE didn't close XIV, didn't go to F2P, they have done what they could to survive and in the moment they concluded that this can't go on like this, they closed to upgrade the whole project and bring us whole new FFXIV. All this money can't go to waste and most important all this effort can't go to waste.
There are many FF series lovers (me included) who really have great hopes for this game.
Am I optimistic or what ?![]()

1. Quests totally promote solo playstyle... what's the point of even playing a mmorpg then.1. Can't be any more boring then grinding the same mobs over and over again to level, at least with quest leveling you get to do different things go to different zones.

2. From what they showed us in Alpha... I don't see how non-brain skill spamming has any standards at all.
3. Well, point 1. and 2., ffxiv should stay unique imo.
There are so many mmorpgs that are so much alike already.

1. Heard is going to be more benefit in PT doing Quest. I actually hope there is more better reward in doing as PT than doing solo... duo is fine.
