    Has SE said anything about name changes in 2.0?

    Just curious if alone with the Reroll if you can change your name? thought i heard it somewhere before. Sorry if there was another thread already made.

    As far as I recall, the "official" response was, they're looking into making it possible. Nothing confirmed. . . .

    It has been "almost confirmed" lol.

    In Live Letter IV [0:14] from November 2012, Yoshida says:

    "We'll continue to look at the possibilities until the very end, but it looks like we will be able to provide this option."


    EDIT: More quotes on the topic:

    "With name changes, from a UI standpoint there would be problems with names being too long.

    To add to this, it was said that current character names will be carried over even with the maximum amount of characters per first/last name being changed. If you change names though you'll have to adhere to the new limit.
