    Projectile Animation for Range Cast/Arrows/etc.

    Will we get a projectile animation for range type for casting/arrow/etc?

    In the CG End of Era, you can get to see the BLM Elezen casting fire and throwing it at the Magitek.

    Will we get something like that?

    Maybe arrow wont be able to be visible since is very stupid/unrealism to see Arrow chasing monster/people if they move around.

    But for Magic... should be fine no?

    I would like to see it, but I don't believe they'll implement it sadly. One can hope though.

    Actually they can get it for arrows, just make it so that the arrows flies straight... I noticed that in ff11 if you circled your enemy while he tried to attack you he almost always missed, so if the arrow doesn't hit the monster then the arrow is considered missed...

    I dont think all mage spells need to be bolts (travels from caster to target like an arrow), but I agree that all spells should have transitionals (like bolts).

    For example when casting stone the rocks erupt from the ground and then crash into the monster, please please have higher tiers.. lol and then we could have cool effects grow over level.

    Kind of straying from topic but I think you could make some great after effects like large crusts of earth pushed up in a circle binding the target or even more strategic would be creating actual pathing blockers (like creating walls with earth spell debris)

    Basically transitionals would be the explanation of where the element came from, so for blizzard you could do a sort of shiva hand blow super cooled magick that freezes an area. Or while casting aero spells your gear physics starts bellowing wildly and please make flora physics.. ill have an eye gasm if when casting the world responded (like blowing grass/leaves, earth leaving debris as an effect temporarily, frozen grass.. ect ect..)

    I imagine fire would use bolts, where higher tiers could be like DBZ (Jericho rockets in Iron man)

    And lightning outside could come straight down from the sky, within doors you could have your character spark and then launch the bolt that way like an tesla coil.


    For the arrow you can leave a very fast tracer like effect - so fast that there is no dodging or arrow chasing. Basically you would just see a blur.

    (I +1 OP - just wanted to add they dont have to be projectiles :P)

    That is within the realm of possibility since ff13 had almost all your suggestions...

    Just wanted to point out, we did have travelling arrows in XIV 1.xx. They were hard to see, and may not have travelled the entire distance, but I do have screenshots of me firing arrows, with the arrows very obviously travellig from the bow going forward.

    I don't see why they wouldn't keep it in, but then again we have a new engine, so who knows.
