controller GUI then im happy.
A good, controller friendly UI. I can't wait to see more of the one they're working on.
I should say I'm not against macros, I just don't want them to be a necessity. I used them throughout XI and XIV, I think I just want a break.
More than anything, I don't want the KB controls to be mouse-dependent.
NEW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Def: beta test - The final stage in the testing of new software before its commercial release, conducted by testers other than its developers.
I do not understand why threads like this keeps creeping up in the forum, asking for a "new" this and "new" that in beta phase. I am not saying input isn't welcome, but proper timing for these things does matter.
It is too late to be asking SE to make a new UI interface at this point. There may be bug fixes or changes to how things may work, but do not hold your breath and expect whatever your feedback is during beta to be implemented by release time.
Right now, we need to focus on getting ARR's show stopper bugs out of the way so we can have a decent release in a few months. New features can be discussed after release.

The new GUI has already been made and seen in countless screenshots- it was even seen when 2.0 was announced ages ago. Have you really never seen it? Go watch the alpha videos.
It's not too late for "sometime in our future", it's only too late for "making the launch." But it won't matter that much because once UI modding becomes available, people will customize the interface however they want it.It is too late to be asking SE to make a new UI interface at this point.
Depends on what new is, look what happened to the 1.0 UI. From what I have seen the current one seems to work really well.
Honestly, this new UI is really smooth and fast compare to our old one in 1.0. Wouldn't you all agree?
But in the alpha videos you can see the GUI... it's probably not the final one, but I doubt it will deviate much from that.
I seriously doubt there will be major changes from what we have seen from the Alpha GUI in Beta. It works, and thousands of testers have tested it.
However, once we get our hands on the custom API, you can mod the GUI to your heart's content.
And once the players starts to come up with their own versions of the GUI mods, chances are SE will adopts the features the player base uses the most.
