It's really silly for SE to think about it because there many people out there who don't understand the technologies of computers. We are just here to help them out and be sure they all are ready before BETA comes out. I can tell you, if this thread made us breaking NDA, mods would lock this thread instantly.

Man, that cooler looks nice. Wish my card had bigger fans so it didn't sound like a freaking jet engine whenever I start playing. .-.

They said 2.0 would look better than 1.0. alpha wasn't as good looking as 1.0.

soooo, whatever results with graphics you got in alpha, probably doesn't matter anyways.
And who knows what standards SE has about it, recommended for them might be for playing max settings, with top FPS, to not experience any fps drops, and not general recommendation to be able to play in 30fps in most cases, with average settings.
Most games state that recommended settings may change before release. that's why they haven't released benchmark yet too probably. you can discuss what GPUs work or not when you tried that

Those are some BIG fans for a 550 Ti card, not to mention the copper heatpipes. For what it is, it's nice considering other 550s. This card runs very cool and I bet the fans are pretty quiet too, right?

I dont think you will have a problem with running the game with reasonably high settings. Although I doubt you'll max the game out, you should be able to do higher than middle settings.

Also, like the person who posted above me said... This game, atleast in the initial alpha graphically did not look nearly as good as 1.0, at least in the gameplay videos I saw.

Hopefully this will improve before the release of the game, otherwise, theres going to be a bunch of disappointed players, myself included.
