    FFXI for years didn't list AMD GPUs on their website. SE is a fan of Nvidia, I honestly wouldn't be surprised if they didn't have any test boxes running AMD cards.

    I had an over heat shutdown with my R6970 in alpha, but that was with unlimited FPS. It was doing crazy frame rates. It performed flawlessly with 60 FPS.

    It's probably a mistake...but as stated earlier... They are not minimum requirements either.

    I just hope NVIDIA releases an SLI profile that doesn't suck.
    2x GTX 580s...Must...max...game...out.... x.x

    Edit: After looking at the minimum requirements I don't know why anyone would be worried really...You know...unless you're running a PC from 15+ years ago.

    Awww, my 5850 stopped booting.. Not even sure why, just wouldn't boot anymore after shutdown... RIP 5850 ... *Plays taps*

    Had to go pick up an OEM version of the 560 ti which is only slightly better, but unlike the retail version, its more like the 570/580 and has 3 way SLi so might be a cheapy way to max out the game

    I'm running on the following stats, and Alpha ran at 60fps full time, on max settings. Didn't use the unlimited fps option.

    MOBO: ASUS CrossHair III Formula
    CPU: AMD Phenom II 955 BE OC @ 3.8Ghz
    RAM: 4GB G.Skill 1333 DDR3 RAM (Win7 32bit - So only like 3200MB usable)
    GPU: AMD Radeon 7700 HD Ghz Edition (OC@ 1.2Ghz Clock - 1.125 Ghz Memory)

    It only cost me about 360 bucks to upgrade my old rig to this. Only old part left is my DVD drives and HDDs.
