Beta Application Questions and Bug

Apologies in advance if this was already asked:

A friend of mine (completely new to XIV, never picked up 1.0), applied for PC beta, but clicked "Apply" instead of "Apply & Survey". In the email it says "selection will be based on the questions answered".

Is he screwed because he didn't do the survey? :S

Not really. The only requirement is that he has an active SE Account at the time of selection. He will be prioritized using the criteria previously posted. That letter appears to be basically the same form letter they have used in the past for other games. Quite generic IMO.
