In Reinheart's translation of Yoshi's GameWatch interview he stated there will be 5-10 worlds in phase one of Beta - that's a lot ^^ The interview was Dec 28th.

There was a delay in original road map. new roadmap has always been mid-feb.
You can read it here it's the last question:
http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/threads/58180This is what that Letter says....As for the beta test, we’re hoping to start beta phase one at the end of January or the beginning of February. We’ve already begun work, so we ask for your patience in the meantime.
Aww dang it, I made one anyway. Weird, I didn't get an e-mail to inform me of legacy; however I did get the little red flag. Strange.
Cecilia Vanguard, you are evil.

I doubt this, the roadmap says 5-10 servers will be up in beta 1. there were only 10 servers in 1.0 after the merge so beta should be able to hold every legacy account. And not all beta players will be logged in at the same time, also some players have more than one legacy account(and not all dual box).

Regardless, we're going to hammer the crap out of the download and ffxiv lobby/login servers pretty hard. That will be fun in itself. Haha. Wonder how big the client will be this time.

I think the "can" means they can just get the client and go if they choose. You're right, can doesn't mean will, but I think that's if you as a Legacy chooses not to.

my pc is low specs.and i run about 60 on mid settings. I really like how ARR dose well on low end pcs.True, most Legacy members probably aren't too concerned though. Just my assumption though. My PC barely wanted to run the game on default settings with a benchmark score that says I should be able to run the game extremely well on default settings and probably even at higher resolutions.
That being said, a lot of people probably have machines that are overkill for ARR. The alpha test ran at 60fps (capped it at 60) with no stutter, max settings, and AO and all that jazz on for me. So personally, I'm not interested in the PS3 version as long as I get my Gamepad controls as promised, eventually.
