"Beta Test Elgibility: The following players are eligible: (* A Square Enix account is required to participate in the beta test. ... Legacy Status Holders. FFXIV Service Account Holders, [and] Applicants selected through the Beta Tester Application Site." The next page states "Beta applicants will undergo screening. ... Testers will be contacted in the order they are selected. ..."

So even Legacy holders must have a current account AND be selected by screening process.

Ah so it could be then be if there are 100 seats, 90 go to legacy and 10 go to non legacy...

on side note... I can't believe I'm going to stay up to wait for response... It's already 11:21 EST, usually it is announced at around 3:00 AM EST so 4 hours to go...

People keep saying this but he only said Legacy players will be considered for Beta. Not that they would automatically be included. Just because you are Legacy does not mean you can get into Beta. SE still has their selection procedure in place and will choose whom they will.

I suspect Beta acceptance e-mails will go out midnight PST and the Beta-Tester site will open. However, this is a week earlier than I expected if it happens.

For those with FFXIV service accounts, you will definitely be able to participate from beta phase 3.
Of course, if you get selected at phase 1 or phase 2, you can participate from then. So would appreciate if you could please register once the ARR beta tester application is released at early time January, 2013.

Yes yes, back then also was confuse, but is confirm that all Legacy is a qualified tester. Just wait for the announcement on when Beta starts.. and be ready
