Stuff to do before ARR/2.0?

Hey I've been playing on and off since the end of last year, and this time I am back to try and do as much stuff as possible before 2.0. I am well aware that I probably only have a few months so it is more than likely not possible to do EVERYTHING, but I want to give it a go and do as much as I can

So my questions are; 1) Is there a list of quests and rewards that will dissapear with 2.0?
and
2) What stuff do you recommend I focus on completing?

First get to 30 and get your Goobbue!

Next, complete the Grand Company story.

Then start doing the achievements listed. Note that you're not really missing out on rich content with most of the stuff on that list. All of the camp-related achievements will likely have new versions, but have to go away because the map is being redesigned.

I second the Grand Company recommendation. Put that top priority as you level up. If you like story, it couldn't hurt to do the original main story as well.

Thanks for the recommendations, I'll do as much of that that is soloable as I can. Doing group stuff is pretty much not going to happen, I can't find anyone in a leveling group and not many people are very helpful when asking what you should move on to next. Infact, I posted in chat ONCE today asking what I should do next, and if I couldn't figure it out I would just go back to grinding Leves. I got replies from 3 people, 2 of them telling me how stupid I was for not knowing what quests were best for leveling at my current class lvl, and one complaining about how I was "whining" ¬_¬

Eurgh, this is going to be hard work. >.<

Those people suck, and you should find a good shell on your server that can help you out with questions, quests, etc.

I also agree with the Grand Company quests. I'm kinda in the same boat that you're in. I was concentrating on crafting classes until 1.23 came out. Now I realize that I really need to get the storyline stuff done and I only have a few weeks in which to do it.

If you've got a class that's around 30, you can solo your way through the first Grand Company quests and quite a few of the main storyline quests.

My advice is to take a night and go through all the Grand Company Recruit quests.

If you check out this page, it will show you the first few quests of each GC that you'll need to complete. After the first 5 of each city (you have to do them all) you get to choose only one GC to continue with.

Once you've gone that far, I'll be more than happy to level with you and go through the rest of the quests with you as far as I can. My husband is level 50 drg, so he can help out as well. I'm online most weeknights from 6:30pm Pacific Time until around 10pm Pacific Time. Tonight I think I'm going to try the Imperial Devices quests for all 3 GC's so I can get as many seals as I can. After that, I'm going to exchange the seals and join the Maelstrom.

Look for me online if you want help getting through all this!

Also, I have most crafts between 32 and 38 and would be more than happy to craft some stuff for you if you need it.
