NINJA...New Pet Class!

I said this as a joke on another pet job thread and started to think about it as an actual possibility, Yoshi p has said that he was adding things to ARR to make it a sort of fan service to past FFs. Well why not have a reference to FFVI by having Ninja(Shadow) be a pet class with a pet Doberman(Interceptor).

note: apologies if this has already been a thread, i didnt do any research if it had already been discussed.

Any new class would be welcome. And after playing tera while waiting for beta I can now see how doing quests to lvl could be pretty nice just seems you need a ton of them like over 1k quests to sustain.

Not sayin its a bad idea but its just silly id rather see an actual DD ninja with no distortions like what ffxi did. :P

Oh you mean tank ninja? The one that made all PLD's cry? :P

The dog in this case could be DD which then wouldn't distort, but it would of course divide importances (So like hunter from WoW but melee focused instead.. lol).

I would be more worried about the confusion between beastmaster and ninja though.

It can definitely work, it just may be confusing for those who never heard of shadow and interceptor and will be like "wtf.. ninja.. dog..? what?" lol

Still, if they could somehow sneak it in it would be a pretty cool tip of the hat- at least to an npc.

I agree tbh, i loved Ninja in FFXI but i also like how the devs arnt modeling there jobs off of ffxi, ive played ffxi i dont need to play a remake of it. and though pet class Ninja may or may not be the way to go(depending on if some one much smarter than me develops it right lol) i do think it should be different than ffxi ninja

Yeah I would probably cry if that came true. I don't want it to be a tank class either though.

Neat idea, maybe not as a summon, but a regular cooldown skill where he comes out and attacks once. Also I believe you meant to post FFVI not FFIV.
