- Daily/Weekly/Monthly achievements. In GW2, these consist of killing X amount enemies, X amount of different enemies, participating in X amount of live events (I assume this is what the FATE system will be like), etc. When these quotas are met for a certain time period, you get rewarded with exp, money, and some sort of rare consumable items (perhaps something similar to the GC crafter/gatherer manuals). It provides some incentive for players to go out and do things in the world instead of just repetitively grinding all the time. Naturally, the rewards for completing these on a weekly or monthly basis would be even greater.
- Rewards for exploration. Each area in GW2 contains a certain amount of waypoints (similar to aetheryte nodes), points of interest (landmarks), and vistas (areas usually at high altitudes that require following certain jumping/platforming paths to get to), along with each sidequest. Managing to find and complete all of these results in a sizeable reward, which often includes a rare version of a weapon appropriate to the level range of the area. Some of these could be really nice if an area required a gold chocobo or a personal airship, etc. to get to beforehand.
