Some other ideas (this is borrowing from GW2, since I've been playing it a lot lately):

    - Daily/Weekly/Monthly achievements. In GW2, these consist of killing X amount enemies, X amount of different enemies, participating in X amount of live events (I assume this is what the FATE system will be like), etc. When these quotas are met for a certain time period, you get rewarded with exp, money, and some sort of rare consumable items (perhaps something similar to the GC crafter/gatherer manuals). It provides some incentive for players to go out and do things in the world instead of just repetitively grinding all the time. Naturally, the rewards for completing these on a weekly or monthly basis would be even greater.

    - Rewards for exploration. Each area in GW2 contains a certain amount of waypoints (similar to aetheryte nodes), points of interest (landmarks), and vistas (areas usually at high altitudes that require following certain jumping/platforming paths to get to), along with each sidequest. Managing to find and complete all of these results in a sizeable reward, which often includes a rare version of a weapon appropriate to the level range of the area. Some of these could be really nice if an area required a gold chocobo or a personal airship, etc. to get to beforehand.

I have a great idea, the deleted achievement. Delete the achievement system from the game and everyone automatically achieves happiness.

GW2 achievement system wasn't a very good achievement system... all you get was a box at the end with a few crappy items if u fuffill such and such requirements every month... I liked WoWs and FFXIV 1.0s attempt at the achievement system personally over GW2

I dunno, they could always change what kind of reward you get, I just liked how it was implemented in terms of encouraging you to go out and do various things in-game. Besides, I don't know of any other ways you could earn Mystic Coins in GW2. ARR could do something similar... perhaps a guaranteed double materia meld item, or a boost to GC seals earned. I'm sure they could come up with something.

I don't care how many Bad Ends I get, I'll have my revenge!:
Wipe X times to the same instanced battle.

Does the flowchart of my life only lead to Bad Ends!?
Wipe X+ times to the same instanced battle.

The floor drank one of my beers.:
KO'd within 30 seconds of consuming a drink.

I'm the type that never gains weight no matter how much I eat!:
Remain under the effects of food for X hours.

I can drive this. I've studied it in racing manga.:
    Collect X mounts.

The ground can be a dangerous weapon if it hits you hard.:
Defeat someone in PvP by using a knockback to push them off a ledge.

I'm going to make 100 friends! I only need to make 100 more to reach the goal!:
    Create a Linkshell.

Heads, I win. Tails, you lose.:
Defeat _____ (Insert a boss that follows this gaming trope, like Van Darnus)

I am shocked and appalled that guessing at random has not yielded better results.:
Exhaust all possible solutions before finally solving _____ Puzzle. (Remember that there will be puzzles in some dungeons based on a Dev Blog post, probably~)

I have a special power of forgetting people's faces after twelve hours.:
Enter a Story Mission Battle (Like Ifrit and Garuda Normal, etc) after already having cleared it. OR Re-view cutscenes X times in your Adventurer's Log.
