Beta Application Question, Participation in PC and PS3 Beta?

I have a question about the application that will come out in a few.

When the Alpha Application came about I signed up for the PS3 version not knowing that it would only be out for Phase 3 Beta. So I'm fairly confident that I didn't get into alpha because I chose PS3, and I didn't have the option to change my application decision after the fact. I am also a Legacy member.

So, when the Beta application does come out and I chose PS3 again? will I be forfeiting my option to join Phase 1 Beta as a Legacy member?

And if I chose PC will I not be able to participate in the PS3 Phase 3 Beta?

I'm kinda torn, I REALLY want to play early in Phase 1, but also want to do PS3 version in Phase 3? What are my options Devs? Are we able to reapply each Phase?

I don't think you'll get an answer from the devs. To be on the safe side, if you want into the early beta don't pick the ps3 option as that testing doesn't start until later into the testing cycle.

I suppose your right. I really wanted to do the PS3 beta, but my want to be involved at Phase 1 is greater! lol

I really don't know why they would restrict current beta users from getting access to PS3 Phase 3 beta. Unless....

They are going to have us reapply for each phase of beta!

I'm gonna be honest, I've only gotten into last phase of Beta in all other games I have beta tested for. Even for FFXIV! So this will be the first time that I will be involved in a beta Months before a game launches. Should make for an interesting experience!

As far as the experience goes, I'm really interested to compare how they handle this round of beta tests compared to the first time around. For example, will it seem like they are actually listening? I think we have reason to believe it'll be vastly different this time.

I'm going to add my two cents here, but the way the PDF is written it seems to me like the PC and PS3 betas are completely different entieties and there will be different applications for both

I think the same application but you can only select one... If you select pc then you write the specs of the pc version like normal, if you selected ps3 you write (I assume) what kind of ps3 you have, how many gb's, etc. (If you write you have the 20gb ps3 I doubt you'll get into ps3 beta since you won't have the room for it)... that way we get the most possible players while still keeping it orderly...

Well, I'm liking what I'm hearing about PS3 and PC being completely separate. I do have my XIII pre-order code for PS3 beta as well attached to my account so I do have that going for me.

Regardless, I'm thinking it is a pretty safe bet that I will just sign up for PC Beta for Phase 1 with my Legacy status, and IF there is an option to sign up separately for PS3 I will do so and/or my XIII pre-order code may get me in and I'll give up my spot for PC Beta.

If neither fly, well, I guess I'll just continue my PC beta and play PS3 version at launch. Yep, I'm buying both! It's my ticket to when my wife kicks me off the PC or TV I can just switch to the other PS3/PC and continue playing. Muahahah! lol

Recall that ps3 beta is in phase 3 so you'll get into pc beta before knowing you got into the ps3 beta so you really won't be able to give up your pc beta spot...
