SE should release the server software for Version 1.0.

I figure since Version 1.0 has been taken offline now, SE may as well release the server software for it so people who enjoyed certain aspects of v1.0 can host their own private servers of the original game as it was when it went offline without interfering with A Realm Reborn. They're practically two different games anyway, so I don't think that it would detract from the sales for ARR at all. As superior as ARR is, I still think it would be nice if v1.0 was still available as well, even if not controlled or hosted by SE.

What? I'm serious. I don't see any good reason not to. And it would just be nice to have the original version of FFXIV around for sentimental reasons. I understand that it would probably cost too much if SE hosted the severs themselves, which is why I suggested they just release the server software and let players find their own ways to host the game.

Even if they did it would suck look how bad some private servers from wow is with lot's of things not working put that x100 with how bad FFXIV is to fix shit ya good luck not going to happen they not going to give 1.0 away for free.
