Oh the CD Key is the key that comes with the CD to unlock its contents. So it is ok to think the key is for the account (to get the content of an mmorpg), and thus an account key. Since the key is used to get the account.

When you apply for Alpha/beta, you do it at the SE account level, not the ffxiv service account level. Since the whole family plays, we'd all like to be able to participate in the beta.

With multiple xiv srevice accounts you can log in to multiple ffxiv characters at once, but they're billed seperately, so for one SE account i was paying just over $60 for 4 xiv accounts and 2 xi accounts.

I'd call bull and talk to SE if they didnt give you 4. Depending on how their system goes they may have to do it manually (then you'd really have to call) but they said Legacy players get in and you have four Legacy accounts.

I think the alpha was one SE account get the invite meaning only one person not the other within the account i could be wrong tho let's hope beta is not like that if that true.

Legacy is automatically accepted to beta, yes? So legacy doesnt need to go through the application process? Is it attached to all accounts upon beta start?

I'm assuming so. Just wait till the beta application. It will likely say if you have to do the application or not. But you likely will if you want to play the ps3 beta...

Mm, there's no guarantee I'll play beta, though in my free time I turn into a giddy little kid at the thought of the new shiney.
It'll be nice being with everyone again, saving the world together and adventuring.
