I just noticed that at the Chicago concert, they updated the footage. It now shows the End of an Era trailer on the big screen <3 (though obviously, it falls out of sync, both because the song's tempo is faster, and because they perform the full version)

Still think its really neat! My new goal for 2013: see Thancred on that huge screen at the next Distant Worlds show <.<

It was really cool that they updated the footage to "Answers" to that of the "End of an era trailer". Out of all the songs performed that night, I was looking forward to that song the most. Me and my partner speculated how they would do it though. We assumed (correctly) that the 25th anniversary would be a perfect opporitunity to advertize for ARR, specifically by playing the "End of an era " trailer while "Answers" was being performed. I'm really happy they chose to do it. It, for me, would have been odd if they did not.

Also too, I knew I was gonna cry when "Answers"was was being performed, its just such a powerful song.....but seeing the end of 1.0 playing with it made me cry even more, it was so perfect.

That concert, I got tickets for for my birthday and I must say, thats the best gift I've ever had. Was a total blast! I hear Yoshi-P was there, but didnt know this until after the fact. I would've loved to pose for a pic with him. ^^

You can tell Susan is completely comfortable with this song live now compared to the live one from two years ago. I really really really really hope one of these Celebration concerts was recorded professionally.

Also LOL @ the "BEAUTIFUL!!" at the end of the performance.

Yes its almost always performed at that tempo. I always just assumed they take it faster to cut down the 7min time to have some time for other songs

I was there! Sadly when Arnie Roth asked if anyone present played FFXIV I was the only one to say anything so "HELL YEAH!" was heard by all. ._.

You've managed to dig yourself out of negative points for this statement, Sir Dragoon

Arnie doesn't follow the Final Fantasy series, so he's a bit dated on the information. Like he still announces the Chocobo Medley as a "sneak peek" of the 14 arrangement even though it was out for awhile Lol

But I don't blame him. He produces the Distant Worlds shows, helps score the music and works closely with Uematsu, so for me, that's enough.

Not even sure why I had negative points to begin with but yay!

On-topic: That was my second Distant Worlds concert I went to and my friend's 7th I believe and all of us agree that this one was the best. what made the trip even better was the day after before we drove home we went to the asian market and got us some real Japanese foods. I will definitely be going to the next Chicago showing or maybe anyone in the central/midwest area!

I was kinda sad they didn't have her sing Suteki Da Ne(sp?) and Distant Worlds this year at that concert but man was the selection great. Oh and Thancred was ever so glorious on the large screen! :P
