Figured that tech we are stealing or getting through enemy of my enemy thing is the magiteck armor.. but then I was thinking.. what if we could go into their cities.. .. I can hear Uldah crying in shame.. lol (local countryside compared to the others..)

Also very interesting to see the translations lined up to each other.. Curious to think one may lend more then the other, or entirely different but true information. (Since those that translated (localized) were probably filled in on the context).

At first i thought the sword forged of might represented the Empire but now i think the Sword forged of might is the adventurer aka you/me the war at the end of 1.0 forged us as we went through fire...and in 2.0 we will be stronger..as for the blade born of light ..i'm not so sure yet..

Light and Might = The Twelve and the Alliance

The combined forces of these were meant to deliver us safely into the Seventh Astral Era, but things didn't go as intended.

Hm, I wonder, if referring to actual blades in the FF series..which one's would suit this end the best.

XI had the Lightbringer, its power is what caused Tavanazia's connection to the mainland to be destroyed, separating it from the rest of the continent. The sword, once unsheathed, released incredible power. I believe it was Ranperre who was the only one in XI history who could handle the sword unsheathed and control its power, thus how he took control over Vrtra.

The sword of darkness? I really dont know about that one.

I would say the blade of light is the Adventurer(Warrior of light) and the blade of might is Gauis(The Empire) but we shall see....

I think the analysis is pretty solid in this thread. It all seems rather straight forward to me now:
    • The Primals in ARR are draining the Aether out of the planet.
    • The 'Blades' are the two main forces in the world out to stop them: Eorzean Alliance (Born in Light), and Garlean Empire (Forged in Dark/Might).
    • We seek to banish them (but use their essences as SMN), Garleans seek to enslave them (Just as did back in the 1.0 prelude, when Midgardsormr attacked the Garlean dreadnought Agrius which held the Primals prisoner)
    • The choice of which 'Blade' to use represents the ARR's main struggle between the Garlean Empire and the Eorzean Alliance over dealing with this issue.

As far as the two swords go. I personally think it might refer to us (might) and the twelve (light). I think what is mean when it says we have to chose is this. We put our trust at the end with the twelve, but instead they were not strong enough to defend us and cage Bahamut again. So do choose to trust them again in the future or do we choose to handle it our selves (might). It just seems that we put all our faith in these gods and they let our world get destroyed. Shall we follow them blindly again or shall we claim our selves gods and tear down the heavens.
