Most of us already said our goodbyes, but yes 1.0 will be missed for many reasons.

Do not mourn the dead, it's in a better place now. Hell, we're going about this all wrong, we should celebrate, Irish Wake Style. (clearly the pineapple vodka mixer and shiraz has caught up with me, feel free to agree with or ignore my rant as you see fit.)

As an alpha player, I think you will revel in the game's revival.

Goodbye Eorzea i will realy miss you (The old Eorzea (1.0) ) /wave /farwell

Even so.... one of the thing I'm really sure gonna miss is the old Gridania theme, because there isn't any trace I remember from the new Grid theme (make sense since it needs to fit with the new Grid visions). Old one really reminds me of how peaceful and serenity it was, and not even a single thought of regret for choosing Grid as my hometown. (which BTW, the theme also reminds me of general Seiken Densetsu's peaceful area BGM)

If you're referring to the Alpha music, SE stated that the music used in the Alpha version are only placeholders, so there's no guarantee that any of that music that's been leaked will be appearing in the final release version (and who's to say it won't get changed even after release, like what was done with the La Noscea/Thanalan/Black Shroud themes eventually in 1.0.).
Personally I didn't mind the 'new' Grid theme though, it was nice and relaxing, but a little too Howard Shorish and didn't really sound like a FF track, hence why I'd at least like to see Uematsu's work at least mostly retained in 2.0 in one form or another.
But that's another barrel of moogles.![]()

lol... that was actually my exact thought.
tho, I'm not really against it. The main deal is just that I will really miss 1.0 and the only reminisce I have now is youtubes and OSTs. ^^
Actually Camate confirmed that what we have been listening in the alpha videos is pretty much it for the designated "zones" they just played them w/o the interruption they will have when you approach a different zone with a different piece of the track.

And i love all the new tunes ...the opinion of a song not sounding Final Fantasy is a bad joke to me...really..aside from chocobo, mother crystal and victory fanfare there is no template for a song to be FF like
