you don't want to wait around for release find something else to play. like most of us have done to fill our free time.

Why this troll keeps getting food is beyond me, but in case OP is serious..

What SE does:
-notify of important decisions taken
-notify of important events to come
-notify of progress
-notify of things impacting the players
*over all SE gives us info related to the important stuff, seems minor as not much is fodder

What OP wants:
-dev A, had fish for lunch
-dev B, spent 30min in the W/C
-window cleaner at SE coming on Tuesday
-dev C and dev P are getting married

SE is a software development company, compared to many others they are quite noisy... the company i work for do the same just different field, and our clients get maybe one notification a month about progress... many times that note is no longer then "everything is on track"

They can't really say yet. If they give a release date now, then they may shoot themselves in the foot if players find the beta unacceptable (or features therein). They need time to accurately pinpoint what is mandatory to change/fix before launch. I would expect a release date announcement around Phase 3 Beta.
