I hate to sound like a graphics whore but I really do hope Yoshi keeps his promise and that ARR's graphics are even better than 1.0's when maxed.

A man can dream I suppose. One thing no one could complain about in FFXIV was the graphics.

Just an example, they seem to be taking screenshots with shadows off followed by shadows on, then picking the shadow colors from the "shadows on" pics and painting more realistic shadows this way on a copy of "shadows off" screenshot.

So it's not a matter of converting them (it's never that easy)

Yeah Kodama's work has been nothing short of spectacular. Really excellent renderings that spiffily show off the beauty of Eorzea... which is why I even linked it on my blog over a year ago.
