There were a few of them, but they were mostly using the idea that Legacy players could potentially be assholes about their legacy status (last I checked we don't punish for potential FUTURE offenses) as a straw man while complaining about how they bought the Collector's Edition of 1.0, and upgraded their PCs, and so they felt self-entitled to the same benefits as the people who stuck with the game, or at the very least paid for three months to support it.

And then there was that last guy who desperately cried for Legacy to be canceled, and nobody took that thread very seriously.

Ah, didn't really see any of those. I was mostly referring to the topics where people were wondering what the community thought of legacy, or the one where the guy wanted to know if he could still get it - and then it turned into a debate over whether or not Legacy players even deserve the reduced sub, and that that would somehow turn people away when they found out that it existed. There was also the "Legacy Members = Royalty? I think not!" thread, where the OP seemed to think that the occasional asshole legacy players that might rub their status in non-legacy players' faces were some kind of majority of the legacy players. Those were all three separate people.

It's disappointing that the last two weeks or so of posts in that forum were mostly about legacy status, and about when beta would start, rather than being about feedback on the actual game. Hopefully beta has more testers playing it for the right reasons.

If you think this thread is bad you should see some of the threads in the alpha forums. Some have called for the revocation of Legacy status while others have even had the nerve to request that all the people who have played the game and made great progress to be bumped down to level 1 when ARR starts.

on a real note, if you did not get legacy status
sucks to be you
it was cheaper to pay for 3 month even cheaper for 6
you could have gotten it,
if i did not have legacy i would jsut shrug it off because it would hav been my fault no one elses
