Changing Servers at Release

Ohh, that's not how I interpreted his post. I took it to mean that old players cannot move to level 1 servers. But I guess maybe all "new" servers will be Level 1....?

It's not just a my opionion, but it's been stated officially by Dev Team.

I have a bit of follow up information in regards to world selection when A Realm Reborn begins.

For those of you that have friends that are not currently playing and you would like them to play with you, rest easy knowing that new players will be able to select the existing worlds instead of the newly created worlds. However, in the case that there is a large amount of people who come back to the game and the world reaches it population cap, the regular rules will apply and there is a possibility that we will suspend new character creation on these worlds.

Also, for current players, it will be possible to create a new character on the new worlds. However, existing players will not be able to move to these new worlds for a certain period of time.

I was just assuming how Old Players will can play on Regional Datacenters at the Release, since they cannot choose New Worlds.
Kirito, I meant Old Servers are "exit-closed" for Old Players for a certain period of time, not "enter-closed" for New Players. (I know it could not be so clear :P )

I do remember that post of Camate's, and at the time, I think it confused me further than it clarified. However, in this new discussion context, it makes a lot more sense. I also feel it confirms my belief that we will land on our same servers because of the way the term "existing servers" is used in the post. If that's true, the only information left to be learned is which servers will have which regional designations.

On another topic, does anyone know if the way linkshells work will improve? When we pull up the LS list will we be able to see the type of info we did in XI (whether online, which zone, which job, in party, etc.)? And equally as important, will we be able to make a linkshell message (also like in XI)? XD

I would hope those of us with 1.0 characters would be allowed to change our names. New game and all, I'd like to change it to something realm reborn-esque, but I see we will have to wait before we can transfer, now I'm sad panda.
