Changing Servers at Release

If memory serves correct, as far as i know all 1.0 character's will be able to pick server's specifically dedicated for people with 1.0 character's... While everyone starting from scratch will have the option to pick were they start.. Something along the line of..
At launch!
Servers A, B, C, D: 1.0 character's priority, and return players
Servers E, through Z: Open for return player's only

At launch the server you pick will be your home until server hopping is allowed... no time frame on that option thought.

They said that old players will not be able to move to new worlds (Mainly for economics reasons). But they could create regional worlds for old players too... We need more info anyway.

It can't be old players only or it will slowly die...

New characters are allowed to be created on any server, not just new/Level 1 servers.

I know but Enma suggested having a old players only sever which will eventually fail since you'll have no new players coming in as old players retire...

Ohh, that's not how I interpreted his post. I took it to mean that old players cannot move to level 1 servers. But I guess maybe all "new" servers will be Level 1....?

I really didn't think about it that way.

Hopefully there's "New comer servers" and new servers we can transfer to that are for anyone. I have a few friends who are joining and I also have a few friends that play who want to be based on a US server. But if the Alpha servers were JP based and I never noticed any lag.

I plan on rolling a new character, but I don't want to have all my money, and main on one server and can't be able to transfer that to another.

I highly recommend staying on japanese servers since Yoshida said they can do direct management of those servers while they can't with the american and other abroad servers...

That's the point of "new players server" they don't want that you can get your main over there. If you want to reroll then do it on the same server you got your main on. Otherwise it could take long time till you will be able to get them together if it gonna be possible at all....
