We don't know for sure but I would think that since Alpha is just a stress test they had the difficultly dialed down. I would hope you would need a reasonable party set up to complete a dungeon.

Yea, good points. Personally, I am too old for strict party build requirements (i.e., 1 tank, 1 healer, 2 dps) but also like defined job roles and difficulty. If there were more jobs/classes, say 3-4 per role, then I wouldn't mind the traditional party set ups. But I hope I don't stand around waiting for a healer or tank in 2.0. Maybe they can do it by armor type (so heavier armor classes/jobs can tank) albeit not as good as GLA/PLD.

In the traditional MMOs a char is restricted to 1 class. In FF XIV it is not a problem to change the class of the char to the role what the party need.

There will be a content finder for almost everything you'd form a party for except level grinds which is just an alternative way of leveling.

god the game right now is still sux alot of people fall sleep playing the alpha test, yes it looks nicer but the battle system sux, and super easy to play hope they fix alot of things in the beta because if they dont good bye for this game and it will be the end of it

I would like to know why the Alpha forums are still up, running and not closed? ARR: alpha client is closed now, they should close the alpha forums as well. They need to send those pitbulls over here to these forums to get a chocobo stomping.
