Again, the july prediction is off, and those that said that they had on high authority (you know who you are) that the beta would start much later than we expected were simply lying.

Though it is kind of funny how despite the fact it's still basically a summer release, people were saying summer was "too late and unreasonable", now that SE says it "it's reasonable."

Also, it says as clear as day even the times listed in the roadmap is subject to change for better or for worse especially based on feedback received which they created the roadmap before receiving said feedback from Beta, everything has been pushed back in some form during this whole process.

You're putting stuff in people's mouth, as usual. If there was any sizable chance to go longer than the worst case, they wouldn't have put a worst case scenario. It's that simple. July was a lie, especially as it was given as set in stone and not as a possibility, and those that supported that wild rumor as true (you included) were simply wrong.

How do you include delays? The best you can do is give yourself some extra buffer, but how can you predict what sort of bugs you're going to have to fix? I don't think you can read these numbers as set in stone sort of things. That's why they have "this schedule is subject to change" plastered all over the place. I'll hope for a release sooner than June, but won't be surprised/disappointed if it doesn't happen until after that.

The "this schedule is subject to change" is just a rear shield in case something goes horribly wrong. Mentioning a best and a worst case scenario means exactly taking in account most problems and issues.

I love a little delusion with my morning coffee. Specimen A here is desperately trying to rationalize away the release date, even though the word delay is printed like twice on every page of the thing, and they have delayed everything about this game. They even delay the delays. If you add 1 week to each of the last 3 phases (very conservative) you're looking at an August 2013 launch. And yet, the mind of Specimen A so soundly rejects it. What the hell were you telling yourself about release before this morning?

They clearly stated a best case and a worse case. At the moment theorizing further delays on top of a worst case scenario is a baseless exercise of trolling. We have no reason to add any further weeks to a schedule that was purposely left elastic just to prove a false point.

In terms of overall time sure. It's closer to release now than it was on the last roadmap, but ARR has a lot of leg work to go before you give your employees the impression of "it's almost finished." Just because it's in Beta doesn't mean it's anywhere near done.

Considering how beta development continued paralel to the alpha, we actually have no idea of how far the game has gone or how near is to "finished".

As a matter of fact, I'm quite sure Wada knows better than we do about it.

i somewhat agree and also disagree. SE has more delays than they always anticipate. But at the same time if they weren't taking delays into account it would say a certain phase would take 3 weeks to complete as opposed to 3-5 weeks.
