i keep reading this over and over throughout this thread 1) legacy= automatically in beta or 2) legacy= better chance to get into beta. for me personally it doesn't matter too much since its pretty much a win win for being a legacy member! :]
PS: im too lazy to find the post or read the letters from yoshi/Dev team about how beta exactly works and if it was clarified by SE since ppl might have misunderstood them and their wording.

Legacy players are confirmed to be in phase 1. At least so long as our famous translator [Rein] and Abriael's native friend can understand japanese (and SE didnt word it weirdly).i keep reading this over and over throughout this thread 1) legacy= automatically in beta or 2) legacy= better chance to get into beta. for me personally it doesn't matter too much since its pretty much a win win for being a legacy member! :]

I would still hold a bit of healthy doubt, just to avoid disappointments. It's not that I don't trust Yoshida and/or reinheart (my own translation matches his, and my Japanese friend confirmed herself), but we do know that yoshida doesn't handle invites personally, and we never know what may happen from here to february. They may very well eat it back like they did with inactive accounts with the alpha. The wording is generic enough to allow it.
So better keep the enthusiasm at bay until the invite mail is in the mailbox![]()
Well if they only have the Min of 5 worlds X 5k people that's 25,000 spots. I'm sure there are more than 25k Legacy members. Who knows.

If they do decide to go with the min listed (5 servers) then the only time a problem should be expected would be if 25000 were all logging in at the same time, for significant amounts of time.
If that does become the case, I doubt that they would stick with mearly 5 servers

*sighs* Some times I wonder if I don't write in correct English.
5000 CONCURRENT (simultaneous connections) players means 5000 people logged in *at the same time*. It has nothing to do with the maximum players the server can house, as it will never happen that all of those players will be logged in at the same time.
That's why a server that can hold 5000 CONCURRENT players can easily house five or more times as many in total.
If a server only had 5000 people in total, it would be *extremely* underpopulated.

Giving Abriael credit on this. he's right.*sighs* Some times I wonder if I don't write in correct English.

ARR 2.0 server allows a total of 5000 players playing at any given time. 1000 max per zone. So total population for 2.0 server can be many times larger since everyone doesn't play at the same time. If you want to see how over populated a ARR zone can be watch the NicoNico's live stream that happened a few days ago.
FFXI days 5,000 people was plenty enough. If a server only had 5000 people in total, it would be *extremely* underpopulated.
