Lol, I will admit I am bored too, waiting for new information and a chance to play. Work is slow right now so I find myself scrounging these forums for any nugget of new info and generally being disappointed.
That's why I'm on the forums right now. It's the week before Christmas. No one is here at work. There's nothing to do but wait for the week to be over and get paid for puttin' the time in.
I would trade my Dalamud Horn for subligar no question. Especially if it looked fabulous on male Miqo'te.Greetings.
I've followed the whole 7th Umbral Era storyline and documented it in my Journal, so I've almost certain proof of what the “Survivor Mark” is going to look like and where it'll be placed.
If you read all the dialogues in the Grand Company Quests, Cid and Louisoix gave away huge hints about it, but if you didn't pay attention or just skipped everything, here's a preview (obviously it'll be available only to those who participated in the 7th Umbral Era):

I think we'll get this
on our necks like everyone except louisux has
I was thinking something along those lines. Most likely on the face or neck, it seems body tattoos are useless unless you wear subligar of course! They are going to have the option to hide the helmets right?
Yep. It's my theory that Louisoix, Yda, Papalymo, Thancred, and Y'shtola (or however that's spelled). are all from the future, and they're using the power of the Echo to try and save the world from Bahamut.
What I'm kinda interested to know, though, is what the original story for 1.0 was gonna be? From what I've read in interviews, Dalamud was supposed to be something else, and it was Yoshi-P's idea to make it crash into the planet/blow up and unleash Bahamut.
Whatever we find out those markings mean, there's a good chance they were originally meant to mean something else.
I know it doesn't matter at this point, but it still makes me curious.
I hand't thought about it that way. But it makes some sence, would be really cool if it was like that
I had actually heard the opposite. That Very early on, when they decided a remake was in order (i think 2 months after Yoshi-P took over) he asked if that red moon was anything important or can he destroy it and was told yes. Also at that point in 1.0's life little to no story or major plot elements had even been implemented aside form the war between Ishguard and the Garleans.Yep. It's my theory that Louisoix, Yda, Papalymo, Thancred, and Y'shtola (or however that's spelled). are all from the future, and they're using the power of the Echo to try and save the world from Bahamut.

So far as I know he had eluded to the story of the crystals connection to the primals and the twelve, as well as the Garlean forces. He will be having some recent history tidbits for us 1.0 survivors to go "Hey! I was there!" but he will be going with a slightly revised version of the original story that was intended for the game. With a bit of his own twist and flare for good measure.
