It depends on what performance they're looking for. In the last two years, for instance, SSD drives for servers made an enormous technological leap in quality and performance, and that kind of speed in data reading/writing would benefit an MMORPG by quite a lot.
They're even quite affordable now.
I miss the people I played with but I don't miss 1.0, it was a alright placeholder for ARR though.

I gave my official goodbye when the servers went down for the first time.
Hopped on for a few minutes after and it just didn't feel right, although I miss 1.0.![]()
